Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Machine operations on a line of standard and
repetitive parts as specified by layout, welding diagram, or work
instructions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Studies work
instructions to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work
piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Dimensional and
alignment requirements are liberal or controlled by fixtures. Follows
routing and welding procedures without any necessary parameter changes
on axial welds (band welds). Follows routing and welding procedures
without any necessary parameter changes on well-proven circumferential
welds with minimal setup requirements. Performs Gas Tungsten Arc Welding
Machine operations on similar and dissimilar metals, usually in flat
position requiring limited technique and basic welding fundamentals.
Demonstrates familiarity with welding equipment features. Completes
sheet metal grinding, forming, and fitting operations as needed. Work is
subject to in-process and final inspection. In coordination with
Maintenance Department, monitors preventive maintenance on welding
equipment. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and conformity to Ace
Precision Quality System Work Instruction requirements that govern Gas
Tungsten Arc Welding operations. Maintains or exceeds production
standards through organization and planning. Follows and complies with
safety rules, regulations, and work instructions. Accurately completes
All Required Documentation. Meets Attendance Policy Requirements.
Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
