About the Role
An established food manufacturer is seeking a Production Team Supervisor to lead production employees, achieve daily production targets and maintain high standards across safety, food safety, quality and productivity.
Role:
- Lead production teams to meet daily production and packaging goals.
- Make daily staffing decisions and create employee schedules.
- Train employees on SOPs, equipment operation, safety and quality requirements.
- Support production line setups and changeovers.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, SOPs and food safety requirements.
- Review production records for accuracy.
- Identify production barriers and communicate issues to leadership.
- Make hiring, disciplinary and promotion recommendations.
- Drive a safe, organized and productive manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience preferred, ideally within production and packaging.
- Previous food manufacturing supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Strong team leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with production scheduling and staffing.
- Knowledge of GMPs, SOPs, food safety and manufacturing safety.
- Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is necessary
- Ability to become forklift certified.
