SR Automation Development Leader // Lead Automation Engineer
This is an opportunity to shape how automation is used company-wide as the leader of our Automation Development team, a key pillar within the Digital Technology Development group.
You will guide a highly skilled, project-driven engineering team through projects that span test and measurement systems, new process equipment development, and mass manufacturing scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow a high-performing automation engineering team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand and enhance Peak's technical processes.
- Architect automation solutions that drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
- Own the full lifecycle of automation development: concept design implementation support.
- Balance automation with practicality knowing when not to automate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical Mechanical Systems Software or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
- 8 years of experience in a technical environment.
- Proven leadership experience with direct reports.
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation ecosystem (ABB Rockwell Automation Direct etc.).
- Broad technical knowledge across automation-related technologies measurement instrumentation vision systems motion control IT/data management.
- Experience delivering full automation systems from scratch to deployment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in engineering or related field.
- 15 years in a technical environment.
- Experience with plastics processing and film handling.
- Familiarity with multiple automation ecosystems.
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skill.
