What you'll be doing:
- Provide electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic design modifications and troubleshooting for automation equipment
- Specify, purchase, and install new automation based on production demands, including developing user requirement specifications
- Interface with equipment builders and suppliers on design features, quotations, and delivery times
- Write bills of material, work orders, purchase requisitions, and capital expenditure requests
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings and maintain project documentation
- Manage and coordinate plant and capital projects, including timelines and project history
- Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure equipment meets engineering and customer specifications
- Coordinate or perform validations and process engineering evaluations for automation
- Provide troubleshooting support and training for maintenance and engineering staff
- Support process improvements and cost reductions through Lean concepts
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, or Industrial Engineering with 3 years of manufacturing experience, or an Associate's degree with 6 years
- Minimum 3-5 years of PLC automation/control experience
- Solid experience with automation system instrumentation and field device technology
- Vision systems and real-time data historian experience a plus
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Familiarity with SAP, Master Control, or similar systems a plus
