Job Title: Cashier Job Status: Full-time/Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
Flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work at least one weekend day. Hours may vary in the fall based upon sales and store needs.
The Cashier is responsible for greeting customers, ringing up customers items, orders, and answering customers’ questions.
The Cashier is responsible for Impacting Lives Always
and actively participating in the team to provide exceptional customer service.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Greeting customers as they enter the store
Scanning items, Item codes, itemizing and totaling customer purchases
Correctly counting cash back to the customer including rounding up/down pennies
Charging Charge Accounts and checking for Identification related to charge account
Processing Coupons and Discounts
Bagging customers’ items after purchase
Receiving and processing payments by cash, check, credit card, gift cards, and automatic debit.
Conduct SKU and Price Checks to ensure accuracy.
Assisting Customers as needed with questions or directions.
Selling and activating gift cards for customers
Process Returns
Stocking and Facing shelves to maintain an orderly and shoppable store appearance.
Cleaning and organizing store
Keep workstation clean and tidy
Communicating via radio and listening for radio communications.
Answering phones with 3 rings and directing calls via radio
Signing up new Ace Reward Members
Calling out Line 10 as necessary for emergencies
Stopping customers when beeping while exiting through the sensormatics.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to promote a culture of safety.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
Physical Requirements:
This position requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and lifting.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
