Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Apprentice to join our team at ACE Garage Door Co. in LaPlace, LA. This is an on-site role where you will assist experienced technicians with the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of garage doors and openers. You will work directly with tools, learn best practices, and grow your technical skills while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will support the team with routine tasks, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical and technical aptitude, including the ability to use tools safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to assist with repairs and installations
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate with team members for on-the-job training
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and climbing ladders as needed
- Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to adhere to workplace safety standards and protocols
- Prior experience in a mechanical, construction, or repair-related field is a plus but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
