PRODUCE ASSOCIATE - SPLITS/REPACK

Warehouse Produce Associate – Splits/Repack (Full-Time)

Location: Brewster, NY
Pay: $18.00 /hour ( Overtime as needed)

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm or Sun - Thurs 9am - 6pm 

What You'll Do

Split & Repack:

• Break down bulk produce cases into smaller lots or partials according to order requirements.
• Repack produce into appropriate packaging while maintaining product quality and appearance.
• Label repacked items with accurate product details, lot codes, and expiration or pack dates.
• Retrieve product from coolers and bring it to the split room for processing.

Quality Control:

• Inspect produce for freshness, damage, or spoilage.
• Remove substandard or spoiled items from inventory.
• Report quality concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.

Inventory & Reporting:

• Assist with inventory rotation using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices.
• Take inventory and run necessary reports to track repacked quantities and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate any irregularities.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and warehouse safety protocols

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods
• Comfortable working in cold warehouse environments (35–55°F).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math skills; able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Prior warehouse or produce-handling experience preferred
• Self-motivated team player with good communication and organizational skills
