IT Support Technician

Job Title: IT Support Technician

• Set up workstations with computers and necessary devices (routers, printers etc.)
• Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications and best practices
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, etc.)
• Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes
• Monitor weekly audit logs
• Maintain asset logs of all computer and server equipment
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
• All other tasks as assigned by the Admin Services Manager

Basic Skills and Competency Requirements Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CompTIA A Certification or equivalent experience desired
• Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position
• In depth understanding of computer systems
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills, with advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Effective time management and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and exercise sound judgment and discretion
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner with efficiency and accuracy
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
