This is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, for a Structured Cabling, Fire Alarm/Intercom, Access Control/Security Lead Technician. This position entails leading the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of structured cabling, fire alarm, intercom, and access control/security systems. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, planning layouts, overseeing cable installations, testing systems for functionality, adhering to safety protocols, and supervising team members in the project implementation process.
- Expertise in Structured Cabling, including cable installation, termination, labeling, and routing
- Proficiency in Fire Alarm and Intercom Systems, including installation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Skills in Access Control and Security Systems, including configuration, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and system diagrams accurately
- Strong leadership skills, including team management, training, and project coordination
- Knowledge of safety protocols, building codes, and best practices in wiring and system installations
- Relevant certifications such as BICSI, NICET, or other recognized industry certifications would be an advantage
- Experience with tools and equipment used in structured cabling and security system installation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently on-site
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degrees preferred
