Warehouse and Shipping Clerk

We are a 30-year old company seeking a long-term dedicated Shipping Clerk

Job Description:

This Shipping Clerk position will provide service and support to our Production and Purchasing team by maintaining day-to-day operations of the shipping and warehouse areas. This position is fast paced and requires a self-starter with a positive attitude.

Job Duties:

· Responsible for inspecting equipment and inventory items for correctness, quality, cleanliness, and repair.

· Responsible for picking correct parts and inventory from stock and packaging them in accordance with Accutek procedures.

· Responsible for crating and handling all equipment shipments which includes but not limited to building and fabricating shipping crates and skids, packing items securely and photographing the machinery and crates per Accutek procedures.

· Responsible for completing paperwork, freight bills, air bills, and weigh bills in accordance with Accutek procedures and Shipping Company procedures.

· Responsible for maintaining shipping records.

· Responsible for the ordering (through Purchasing Dept) all crates and skids needed for equipment shipments. Ensure proper shipping consumables are on hand for present and future expected use.

· Maintain a clean, organized Shipping dock while maintaining good safety practices.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience in general packing and shipping.
• Experience in general warehousing.
• Skilled in shipping procedures and controls.
• Good interpersonal skills, including discipline, teamwork, and training.
• Human relations skills based in communication, leadership, and delegation experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Skilled in recording, compiling, and organizing information efficiently and accurately.
• Computer literate with the ability to learn new software programs as required.
• Ability to learn and understand technical information related to our products offered.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to analyze situations and react in a timely manner.
