What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool and Cutter Grinder CNC position at Accurate Regrinding?
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to operate our CNC grinding machines for the regrinding of precision cutting tools (end mills, drills, reamers). While prior experience in this exact role is a plus, we are prepared to train the right candidate who demonstrates the core competencies and drive to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate ANCA CNC tool and cutter grinders to resharpen carbide and HSS cutting tools to specification.
- Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks using our high-precision measuring machines.
- Troubleshoot and correct deviations in tool geometry, runout, and surface finish after loading the correct tool program .
- Maintain machine accuracy through routine maintenance and coolant system checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in CNC tool and cutter grinding with hands-on experience on ANCA machines and software.
- Understanding of cutting tool geometry (rake, relief, helix, flute count) and grinding processes for carbide and/or HSS.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in a small shop environment

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
