Job description:
Job Title: Operations Manager
Pay: $70,000 - $75,000 ( potential bonus)
Location: Onsite
Note: This operation runs 24/7, and individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required and the facility is only closed three days each year.
Job Purpose:
To provide senior-level managerial and operational support by overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all operational activities within the distribution center.
- Assign managers, supervisors, and warehouse associates their respective duties.
- Manage warehouse schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels across all shifts.
- Establish and enforce operational procedures for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and maintaining warehouse inventories.
- Coordinate distribution center activities with transportation providers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Manage system processes and records control.
- Oversee employee safety programs and general training initiatives.
- Assist with the reclamation of damaged merchandise and ensure proper reporting of donations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Implement department standards and guidelines.
- Manage the performance review process in accordance with HR and corporate policies.
- Oversee customer service functions to ensure timely resolution of client issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to independently implement and manage operational programs.
- High proficiency in computer systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
- College-level education with 8 to 10 years of experience in warehouse management.
