Accurate Fabrication is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our growing Sales and Engineering team. This role serves as the technical and commercial bridge between our customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strong problem solver, and trusted “go-to” resource for customer-driven projects—from concept through production.
This position plays a key role in account management, estimating, new product introductions, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring projects are quoted accurately, launched smoothly, and executed profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical contact for assigned customer accounts
- Collaborate with customers to understand design intent, application requirements, and manufacturability
- Review customer prints and CAD models to support quoting, design feedback, and production readiness
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations using Paperless Parts/ERP systems and Excel-based tools
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts, including launch coordination and internal handoff
- Manage projects across sales, engineering, production, and quality teams
- Identify design-for-manufacturability (DFM) opportunities to improve cost, quality, and lead time
- Maintain strong internal communication to ensure customer expectations are met
- Assist with ongoing account management, including changes, revisions, and continuous improvements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with SolidWorks (sheet metal experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of project management principles
- Ability to manage projects in a cross-functional manufacturing environment
- Experience with estimating in a fabricated or manufactured product environment
- Comfort working in ERP systems
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication skills—able to interface with customers and internal teams
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication environments
- Knowledge of laser cutting, punching, forming, welding, and assembly processes
- Familiarity with GD&T
- Prior experience supporting NPI launches
- Background in account management or customer-facing technical roles
