Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to manage electricians, schedule manpower and ensure safety, quality, and productivity across multiple job sites. As an extension of the foremen, this pivotal role is the “boots on the ground” authority for daily project execution.

In short, the Superintendent is responsible for the work getting done safely, efficiently, and correctly.

Full time, 40-hour work week, M-F, typically 7am-3:30pm with possibility of nights and weekends as needed (though rare). Most projects are located in Manhattan, but must be able to reliably commute to all 5 boroughs and NJ as required. Vast majority of time will be spent working on-the-go in the field.

This position includes full membership into United Service Workers Union (USWU) Local 363A, complete with Anthem BCBS healthcare insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, pension, annuity and 401(k), amongst other benefits.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all field work and installation.
• Manages manpower, tool, and equipment allocation.
• Enforces safety policies and jobsite compliance.
• Ensures installation meets drawings, specs, and quality standards.
• Coordinates with the PM on schedule, materials, and manpower needs.
• Leads and mentors foremen and field crews. Conducts daily huddles and internal site meetings.
• Tracks progress and reports field conditions/issues to the PM.

Qualifications (Please DO NOT APPLY if you do not meet these prerequisites)

• Previous experience as Electrical Superintendent or at least 8 years as a Foreman on commercial projects ranging in size from $50k-$2.5M.
• Extensive knowledge of NEC and NYC electrical codes, methods and practices.
• Proficient in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and electrical system designs.
• Complete understanding of OSHA regulations related to construction safety.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with project managers, foremen, crews, other team members, vendors and clients.
• A team-oriented leader with a hunger and drive to lead the team to success.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
