- Ensures the organization’s federal, state, and local payroll tax obligations are met accurately and on time across multiple jurisdictions.
- Plays a key role in audit preparedness, reconciliation, and tax agency communication.
- Identifies and implements process improvements that drive compliance and accuracy.
- Supports year-end activities, including W-2 and W-2C processing, to ensure clean reporting and filings.
- Partners closely with internal teams and technology platforms to maintain tax compliance and operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of payroll tax experience in a multi-state environment.
- Proficiency in ADP and Oracle systems (required).
- In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and filing requirements.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage agency inquiries and resolve tax discrepancies efficiently.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus
