As a Firearms Sales Associate, you will be the maven of our in-store firearm selection, leveraging your expertise and passion for firearms. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver an unrivaled buyer experience by thoroughly understanding each customer’s specific needs, product knowledge, and the legal requirements for firearm sales.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1) Providing excellent customer service: Answer customer queries and provide them with information on features, specifications, legality, and functionality of various firearm models.
2) Maintain Inventory: Restock, maintain, and organize various firearm displays
3) Compliance: Ensure all firearm transactions comply with company policies and federal/state laws.
4) Sales: Achieve store and personal sales-per-hour goals.
A successful Firearms Sales Associate will have sound knowledge of the different types of firearms, ammunition, and accessories. Additionally, they will have a sociable demeanor, excellent listening skills, excellent phone skills, and a knack for relating to a variety of customers. Weekend hours will be required. Good attendance is a must. Starting salary rate will be determined by experience. This is a part time position and will be between 21 and 27 hours per week. Every other weekend will be required. This may turn into a full time position depending on business volumes and proven sales ability. Qualified bilingual candidates are welcome to apply.
Qualifications:
1) Proven track record in a Gun Shop sales environment is preferable.
2) Exceptional knowledge of firearms is required.
3) Strong retail backround is required.
4) Must be 21 years of age or older, due to legal restrictions on handling firearms.
5) Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
6) Must have clean criminal background.
7) Must have reliable transportation.
