Job Description
The Quality Technician will ensure quality goals are met through attention to detail, defect detection and corrective/preventative action, with strong internal partnerships with the production department. This role will also have several clerical duties.
Essential Functions
- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
- Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
- Properly record and dispose of non-conforming material.
- Required to understand the functions of the production lines.
- Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services as needed.
- Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- Required to work on any additional project that is deemed necessary by management.
· Store, manage, and track records and documents.
· Calibration (Calipers, tape measures and other gages)
· Customer portal entry
· Saw downtime/scrap recording
· Internal process audits/ corrective action
· Training verification
· Document control
· PPAP documentation
· Understand and follow ISO procedures.
· All other duties assigned by Management.
