Human Resources & Finance Assistant
- PAY RATE: $18.10-$18.35 Starting pay is: $18.10
LOCATION(S): Belmont, NY
WORK YEAR: 12 months, non-exempt
WORK HOURS: 8:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday; occasional evenings and weekend hours required
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Supports Human Resources activities by sorting, scanning, filing, copying, routing, and destroying documents, producing correspondence and other documents in an accurate and timely manner, maintaining files systems, and inputting and retrieving data.
Prepares division’s mailings and delivers outgoing mail to the post office. Date stamps and distribute incoming mail accurately.
Supports the schedule of the Human Resources by maintaining a calendar of events, arranging meetings, conferences, communications, and travel.
Supports the centralized hiring process by assisting with documentation gathering as well as compiling interview paperwork, maintaining applicant spreadsheets, creating electronic files, and initiating reference checks and sending letters to applicants.
Supports the division by posting open positions to the ACCORD website and other hiring platforms as identified. Ensures applicant documentation is entered into appropriate hiring folders.
Supports agency training operations by sending correspondence, creating sign-in sheets, ensuring training materials are organized, entering training records as necessary and creating certificates of completion.
Maintains administrative services office supplies inventory by checking supplies, ordering, verifying receipt of supplies, and following procurement policies and procedures.
Maintains and implements professional and technical knowledge by attending training, establishing professional networks, and documenting training attendance.
Promotes a positive agency image and credibility by adhering to our code of conduct.
Assures effective risk management practices by identifying and reporting potential safety, ethical, and legal concerns.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing program goals and completing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Associate degree (preferred) in business, accounting, or related field or High School diploma.
License Requirements: Current, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
EXPERIENCE: One year’s experience in office management or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

The employee may require engaging in talking, carrying objects, grasping, using manual dexterity, seeing peripherally, sitting, listening, seeing near and far, and general lifting.
Computer work is an essential function of this position and vision strain is a potential exposure.
