Job Category: Family Development Worker
Pay Range: $18.10 - $30.02 Starting pay is $18.10 per hour
Work Year: 12 months
Work Hours: 35 hours/week, generally Monday-Fridays, hours established
based on program needs, with some evening/weekend work required

Job Overview:
Assures clean, safe, and inviting environments by performing routine cleaning, maintenance, groundskeeping, and repairs.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Performs routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance, maintains a schedule of preventative
maintenance, completes minor repairs, works with contractors to complete larger projects, and communicates progress with staff and supervisor.
Maintains clean, safe, and inviting early childhood education center environments by performing routine cleaning including dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, vacuuming, mopping, garbage removal, routinely shampooing/waxing floors, and painting. Documents cleaning and maintenance activities.
Performs routine groundskeeping by mowing lawns, trimming and preventing weed growth, mulching, clearing sidewalks of debris or snow removal, and ensuring that playgrounds are safe and usable by children.
Maintains common area lighting and emergency exits by routinely checking lights in common areas, entrance and exit doorways, replacing or repairing lights.
Maintains an inventory of cleaning and facilities supplies, completes requisitions and coordinates the ordering of needed supplies, and ensures proper storage of supplies.
Provides occasional coverage for regularly scheduled classroom, bus monitors, and kitchen staff and maintains health and safety standards.
Maintains and implements professional and technical knowledge by attending training, establishing professional networks, and documenting training attendance.
Promotes a positive agency image and credibility by adhering to our code of conduct.
Assures effective risk management practices by identifying and reporting potential safety, ethical, and legal concerns.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing program goals and completing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
License Requirements: none
EXPERIENCE:
Related work experience preferred.
