POSITION: FLOOR TECHNICIAN
PAY: $16.00 - $17.00/hr depending on experience.
HOURS: 8p-4:30a (Full-time) Some positions require that you work weekends
LOCATION: Mercy Main Hospital (Creve Couer, MO 63141)
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented worker to become a Floor Technician and join our team. As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the hospital floors. This role requires a high level of cleanliness, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have experience in floor maintenance and be committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This position requires a vehicle as public transit does not go out to the work site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scrub and clean floors using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions.
- Perform routine dust mopping to remove dirt and debris.
- Assist with the removal of hazardous materials and waste as needed.
- Eventually learn how to conduct strip and wax procedures to maintain the shine and cleanliness of floors.
- Learn how to perform floor refinishing tasks to restore the appearance of worn-out floors.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team to maintain overall cleanliness and sanitation of the hospital.
- Ensure that all floor maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Knowledge of different cleaning solutions and their appropriate usage.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Familiarity with various floor cleaning equipment and techniques.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
