Job Summary
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the clinical staff at Accomplished Counseling Services, ensuring high-quality therapeutic services are provided to clients. This role includes supervision, training, and professional development of clinicians, compliance with ethical and legal standards, and maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision & Staff Support
- Provide individual and group supervision to licensed and pre-licensed clinicians.
- Review and approve clinical documentation, treatment plans, and case notes for accuracy and compliance.
- Offer guidance on complex cases and crisis intervention strategies.
- Monitor clinical staff performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to agency policies, ethical standards, and state/federal regulations.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality requirements.
- Conduct periodic file audits to assess clinical effectiveness and documentation accuracy.
- Implement best practices for evidence-based treatment modalities.
Training & Professional Development
- Organize and facilitate training sessions for clinical staff on relevant therapeutic approaches.
- Stay updated on advancements in the field of counseling and mental health.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to newly hired counselors.
Client Care & Crisis Management
- Support staff in managing high-risk clients and crisis situations.
- Assist in developing intervention strategies and case management plans.
- Serve as a resource for clinicians dealing with challenging client situations.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with the agency leadership team to improve clinical services.
- Participate in staff meetings
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
Qualifactions:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Active state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in a counseling or mental health setting.
- At least two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
