Business Analyst - Healthcare Data Governance

Experience (Must have)

· 5 years business analysis in data governance programs

· Healthcare or life sciences industry experience

· Business glossary creation experience (100 terms minimum)

· Requirements elicitation across multiple business domains

· Stewardship workflow design experience

Technical Knowledge

· Understanding of data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM)

· Familiarity with metadata management concepts

· Experience with Agile methodologies (user stories, acceptance criteria)

· Knowledge of data classification schemes and taxonomy design

Soft Skills

· Excellent stakeholder management (can work with C-suite to operational staff)

· Workshop facilitation skills (will lead requirements sessions)

· Strong written communication and documentation

· Available for 3 onsite trips during project

Nice-to-Have

· Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data catalog tools

· CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification

· Healthcare data standards knowledge (FHIR, HL7, SNOMED CT)

· Experience with FDA-regulated or HIPAA-compliant environments

· Change management or training experience

Key Responsibilities

1. Document current state data landscape and conduct governance maturity assessment

2. Facilitate requirements gathering across R&D, Commercial, Marketing, and Supply Chain domains

3. Define use cases and success metrics for data governance initiative

4. Create business glossary terms (100-150 priority terms) with stewardship workflows

5. Develop user stories and acceptance criteria for pilot implementation

6. Conduct stakeholder engagement and change impact assessment

7. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate business requirements

8. Create documentation for business processes and governance workflows
