We are currently looking for a Medical Technician responsible for assisting with residents’ or patients’ daily care needs, administering medications as directed, monitoring and documenting their condition, and reporting any changes to nurses or supervisors. They help maintain a safe, clean environment, follow care plans, and ensure all medication and safety protocols are followed accurately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide our residents with care in accordance with our established policies and procedures and ensure that the highest degree of quality care will always be maintained.
- Pass out medications as prescribed, following all facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and current resident medication records, including charting all administrations and not administering.
- Administers oral and external medications to residents under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse
- Provides medications according to individual resident needs and abilities.
- Records the administration of medication on the Resident's medication sheet at the time the medication is given.
- Writes a clear, brief summary of the shift prior to the end of each shift.
- Completes all required daily documentation as related to the ISP.
- Is accountable for and properly documents the use of money.
- Operates all vehicles defensively, utilizing seatbelts and obeying all traffic laws.
- Reports any household, vehicle, maintenance or other safety issues immediately.
- Knows the whereabouts of persons supported at all times.
- Works with team members in keeping the home and vehicles clean at all times.
- Follows program plans and implements behavior management programs for each person supported.
- Informs the Manager/Service Coordinator of any concerns regarding significant changes in an individual’s behavior.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months' related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Medication Technician Certification.
- Must demonstrate competency to perform medication administration in accordance with state regulations.
- BCI required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Able to write simple correspondence. Able to effectively present information in one-
- on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the
- organization.
