We are currently looking for a Program Coordinator oversees the daily operations, planning, and implementation of the GAP Program. This program is designed to bridge the gap between school and adult services by providing high-quality, individualized support for young adults with autism. The focus is on fostering growth in life, social, vocational, recreational and community skills to promote independence and meaningful engagement in adult life. The Program Coordinator ensures effective program structure, scheduling, and organization while providing ongoing staff training, supervision, and support. This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining high-quality, individualized services and fostering a positive, growth-oriented environment for participants and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the GAP Program, ensuring all activities align with program goals and participant need
  • Develop and manage individualized service plans in collaboration with individuals, families, staff, and relevant professionals
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate daily program activities to promote social, vocational, recreational, community, and independent living skills
  • Coordinate and monitor program scheduling, staffing, and transportation
  • Maintain compliance with state and agency standards, licensing requirements, and evidence-based practices for autism support services
  • Track participant progress, maintain records and report on outcomes
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising program staff
  • Provide ongoing staff support, evaluations, and professional development opportunities
  • Ensure staff adherence to behavior support plans and safety protocols.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for participants and families
  • Build partnerships with local business, educational institutions, and community organizations to create opportunities for participants
  • Represent the program at community events
  • Maintain professionalism and professional relationships/boundaries, with individuals, staff, and families
  • Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • The GAP Program Coordinator must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
  • Experience in program coordination or case management preferred
  • Strong organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, participant-centered environment
  • Have successfully passed a BCI
Physical Demands:
  • May involve moderate physical activity to assist participants in various settings (i.e., talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, lift, and run) and to promote safety. Other physical demands include driving, writing, phone, and computer skills.
Work Environment:
  • This is a full-time position, typically Monday-Friday, daytime hours.
  • Location of work may vary to meet the needs of program participants and staff. Work may be conducted at AccessPoint and/or various community settings as needed. Transportation using a personal vehicle is required.
