Position: Home Accessibility Installation Technician
Status: Part-Time — with strong pathway to Full-Time
Schedule: Flexible; weekday and occasional weekend availability
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay (1099) — high earning potential

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Home Accessibility Installation Technician, you will be on the front lines of that mission —installing life-changing equipment with skill and care.
This position starts part-time, making it a great fit for experienced tradespeople looking to expand their work or transition into a purpose-driven career. High performers can expect a clear and rapid path to full-time employment and top-tier earning, as our business grows each year.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
▸ Install stairlifts, person (patient) lifts, wheelchair lifts, modular ramps, power door openers, assistive technology devices and other accessible home modifications
▸ Perform post-installation testing, calibration, and walk-through demonstrations for clients and family members
▸ Provide compassionate, patient, and thorough client education on the use and maintenance of installed equipment
▸ Complete service calls, warranty work, and routine maintenance on installed equipment
▸ Maintain an organized vehicle, clean job sites, and accurate job documentation
THE HEART OF THIS ROLE: CUSTOMER CARE

Our clients are often elderly, recovering from injury or surgery, or living with a disability. They may be nervous about change, unfamiliar with equipment, or emotionally vulnerable. The ideal candidate understands that every installation is more than a technical task — it is an opportunity to restore confidence, dignity, and independence to someone who needs it.
We are looking for someone who naturally listens, communicates clearly, and treats every client like a member of their own family.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
▸ Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills — this is our #1 priority
▸ Experience in carpentry, construction, electrical, or a related trade
▸ Ability to read and follow manufacturer installation manuals and technical drawings
▸ Comfort working in residential environments (homes, tight spaces, stairs)
▸ Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders, and perform hands-on installation work
▸ Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
▸ Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
▸ Strong written and verbal communication skills
▸ Willingness to submit to criminal background check and drug screening
Preferred (but not required — we train the right person)
▸ Basic electrical knowledge (low-voltage systems)
▸ Experience working with seniors, people with disabilities, or in a healthcare-adjacent field
