Rehab & Accessibility Equipment Service Technician

We’re looking for a skilled, mechanically experienced technician to join our team as a Rehab & Accessibility Equipment Technician. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Durable Medical Equipment (DME), home accessibility modifications, construction, or mechanical service work who wants to apply those skills in a meaningful, patient-focused setting.

This is not a basic delivery position — it’s a hands-on technical role that requires experience installing, modifying, and servicing both medical equipment and home accessibility solutions. Your work will directly impact safety, mobility, and independence for the individuals we serve.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver, install, and configure DME and accessibility equipment, including wheelchairs, hospital beds, patient lifts, stair lifts, ramps, and other home modification solutions
  • Perform home accessibility installations and adjustments, such as ramps, grab bars, and minor structural modifications to improve safety and mobility
  • Complete mechanical assembly, fitting, and customization of equipment to meet individual client needs
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical/electrical knowledge
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections on equipment and installed systems
  • Educate clients and caregivers on proper equipment operation and safety best practices
  • Accurately document installations, service work, and client interactions
  • Assist with equipment refurbishment, inventory, and warehouse support as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in DME/HME, home accessibility modifications, construction, or mechanical field service strongly preferred
  • Proven mechanical aptitude, including use of hand and power tools
  • Experience with installation work (ramps, lifts, basic carpentry, or similar) highly valued
  • Familiarity with basic electrical systems (AC/DC) and diagnostic tools is a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and adapt equipment in the field
  • Physically capable of lifting, moving, and installing heavy equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based environment
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Professional, respectful, and client-focused approach

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Use your mechanical and installation skills in a role with real purpose
  • Work on a wide range of equipment and home accessibility projects
  • Be part of a team dedicated to improving mobility, safety, and independence
  • Every day brings new challenges — no repetitive, assembly-line work
  • Opportunities to expand your expertise in rehab technology and assistive equipment

Additional Details

This is a field-based position requiring regular travel to client homes and healthcare facilities. Technicians work independently and alongside clinical and service teams to ensure all equipment and modifications are installed safely and function reliably.

If you have a strong mechanical background, experience with installations or DME, and want your work to make a meaningful difference, we encourage you to apply.

Join us in helping individuals live more safely, comfortably, and independently.

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs independently
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving medical equipment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working in a mobile, customer-facing role
  • Professional, dependable, and service-oriented mindset
