Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and eating.
- Implement mobility, balance, and strengthening exercises, incorporating therapeutic activities and adaptive equipment.
- Use proper turning, positioning, and repositioning techniques to prevent falls and promote comfort.
- Document resident progress, monitor changes in condition, and communicate updates promptly.
- Follow infection control protocols, including proper use of PPE and handling linens according to regulations.
- Provide age-appropriate, resident-centered care under RN supervision, adhering to care plans.
- Utilize EMR accurately and demonstrate proper application of therapeutic treatments like heat or ice.
- Must be CNA certified with a state-approved training program.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 16.
- Prior long-term care experience is advantageous.
- Ability to complete annual competency assessments and maintain continuing education credits.
- Dependence on role may require valid driver’s license and medical qualification for driving responsibilities.
