Seeking Mentor for Youth with Developmental Disability
Looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mentor (1:1 support staff) to work with a very bright, funny, creative, and kind young male with a developmental disability. In this critical role, you will help him in learning key independent living skills around his home, and teach skills to assist with accessing his community and social opportunities. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, great patience, and strong organizational and perseverance skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with OPWDD services.
Hours and days of work
Monday through Friday after school hours and weekends; times are flexible, up to 15 hours per week
Pay rate: $23 per hour, additionally $.70 per mile for transportation reimbursement
Location: North Syracuse, NY
Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency. Please respond with resume or summary of experience.
