Schedule: Full-time, Part-time & Relief schedules available
Pay Rate: $42.45 - $45.01 Hourly

Offering person-centered services that empower individuals of all ages and abilities to reach their full potential as part of our community. Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the health and well-being of participants according to OPWDD regulations
- Provide on-going trainings regarding infection control, blood borne pathogens, signs and symptoms of illness, including program participants medical needs and medications, first-aid and emergency medical procedures
- Attend meetings in community as an Agency representative
- Maintains compliance and ensure department staff maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations
- Obtain medical services for all participants and assist with coordinating services with medical personnel and other Agencies
Education & Experience
Registered Nurse, licensed in New York State. Two years experience with people with disabilities preferred.
Conditions of Employment
Must have a valid NYS driver license in accordance with Agency Vehicle and Driving Policy and transportation necessary to meet program needs. Must be available for emergencies. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Access CNY is now participating in the NANY (Nurses Across New York) Loan Repayment Program, which means that up to $25,000 of the educational debt of our nurses can be paid off in exchange for the nurses commitment to work with our underserved populations for three years.
