About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with 4 years of experience in the construction industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a CPA license and have proven expertise using QuickBooks to manage financial records, job costing, and project-related accounting. This role is 100% onsite and will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting project managers, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all accounting functions in QuickBooks, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Record and reconcile daily spends and expenses across multiple projects.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Perform job costing and track project profitability, expenses, and budgets.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements.
- Manage billing, invoicing, and collections to ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Process subcontractor payments and ensure compliance with lien waivers, W-9s, and insurance requirements.
- Assist with financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Support year-end close and work with external auditors and tax preparers.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and applicable construction accounting practices.
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (desktop and/or online).
- Strong understanding of construction job costing and project-based accounting.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with other construction-related software a plus.
- Experience working with subcontractor compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
