Our team is creative and collaborative — and we’re looking for a reliable, proactive, transactional Accountant with great communication skills who thrives in a team environment and enjoys supporting clients throughout the month.
What You'll Do
You'll be a key part of our daily operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Payroll and commissions processing for clients (Using Gusto, QBPayroll, and ADP) - prior multi-platform and multi-state experience preferred
- Financial Statement Management – Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, Budget and Projections, customized monthly dashboards
- Reconciliation of key areas like inventory, sales tax payable, clearing accounts, etc.
- Client meetings and engagement when requested
- QBO transaction allocations following client specific SOPs
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliation
- Monitoring client accounting email accounts
- Limited client accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
- Journal entries for asset transactions, revenue reporting, and other accruals
- 1099 vendor maintenance and annual reporting
- Work closely with leadership to improve workflows and operational efficiency
- Jump into ad hoc projects — we love when finance helps solve real business problems
Systems used:
- Quickbooks Online – experience required, QB Certification preferred
- Xero – experience preferred
- Microsoft Office – proficient in Excel
- Asana
- Gusto and ADP
- Zoom
- Loom
Who You Are
You're more than just detail-oriented — you're driven to keep things running smoothly. You’re comfortable with technology, great with time management, and not afraid to speak up when something looks off.
Skills and Traits We Love:
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Familiarity with accounting software (QBO certification preferred)
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Excellent communication, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Curious and adaptable — you enjoy learning and problem-solving
- Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize tasks based on highest value impact to our clients
- Resourceful to complete client deliverables in the most efficient and service-oriented manner
- Very comfortable on video calls and meetings
