Key Responsibilities
Grant Billing & Reporting
- Prepare monthly grant invoices, verify expenses, compile documentation, and reconcile amounts with the general ledger and grantor records.
- Maintain budget‑to‑actual reports and assist with new and revised grant budgets.
- Record grant and program cash receipts; respond to grantor and internal billing inquiries.
- Set up and maintain vendor accounts; review and code invoices to correct accounts and grant codes.
- Process accounts payable and payments accurately and timely.
- Prepare monthly and ad‑hoc journal entries; review and process staff travel documentation.
- Prepare weekly Patient Care Fund/CAST reports and complete monthly reconciliations.
- Monitor bank accounts for discrepancies and complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Maintain organized accounting, billing, contract, and grant files.
- Assist with audit preparation; ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain basic knowledge of AHN services, RingCentral, and Salesforce.
- Provide support to the membership billing team as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, maintain professionalism, and adapt to evolving duties.
- Accounting degree or certificate preferred; minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and basic internet tools; Accounting Seed experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, multitasking, and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work from home when needed; able to sit 6–8 hours daily and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must pass Nevada state background check; flexible schedule required.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and the employee usually works in a climate-controlled office environment.
- Be able to sit at a computer for 6 – 8 hours per day.
- Be able to stand between 3 – 6 hours per day.
- Be able to withstand hand/wrist deviation and repetition.
- Must be able to lift, carry up to 30 pounds with a fair consistency.
