Location: New Windsor, NY
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM (40hrs.)
OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PROS-is a Community Rehabilitation and support program to assist individuals in acquiring and maintaining skills and supports to live successfully in their communities. These include: wellness self-management, benefits and financial management, leisure planning, and skill development to manage symptoms and practice life skills. This program offers intensive rehabilitation services to assist individuals in obtaining specific life roles, and to reduce the risk of relapse, hospitalization, loss of housing, or involvement with the criminal justice system.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct job development and job search activities
- Assist clients in obtaining employment
- Assist in employability skill development
- Assist in interview and resume preparedness
- Provide individualized support
- Assist clients in maintaining employment
- Provide benefits counseling
- Provide education to family members and employers
- Negotiate job accommodations when needed
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve employment outcomes
- Assignments may be determined at a future date
- Ability to work as an effective team player
- Ability to achieve employment outcomes is essential
- BS/BA degree in mental health, social services or business
- Experience working with people with a serious mental illness is preferred
- Experience providing employment services is preferred

- Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long-periods of time
- Able to work in open space floor plan
- Must be capable to move throughout work day (and follow individuals throughout the community)
- Work alongside co-workers within 3 feet
- Must be able to move in tight spaces
- Occasional lifting of > _25 pounds
