Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of inventory within our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position is best suited for candidates who are comfortable switching throughout the day between physical warehouse tasks and detail‑oriented computer‑based work.
Responsibilities:
Receiving:
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of incoming shipments against packing slips and bills of lading.
- Unload incoming shipments using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
- Carefully inspect received items for any damage and report any discrepancies.
- Properly label and store received items according to established procedures.
Storage and Inventory Control:
- Maintain an organized and clean storage area, ensuring efficient product retrieval.
- Conduct Cycle Counts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Organize stock to prevent damage from improper storage.
- Re‑slot, rearrange, and consolidate inventory as needed to maximize storage capacity, while maintaining safety standards and product integrity.
- Support warehouse organization efforts in a high‑volume, space‑constrained environment.
Picking and Packing:
- Accurately scan, pick and assemble orders according to customer specifications and picking lists.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage picking activities.
- Pack orders securely to ensure safe transport and prevent damage during shipping.
Shipping:
- Verify label accuracy and completeness of outgoing shipments against packing slips and bills of lading.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of all fulfillment activities and maintain hardcopy shipping documentation as required.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, including picking, packing, inventory control, and shipping documentation such as COAs and SDSs
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license preferred, based on role requirements
- Must be proficient in English
Systems and Technical Skills
- Experience using an ERP system and barcode scanning technology, with NetSuite and RF Smart preferred
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including Outlook and Word
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and manage digital files and documentation
Equipment and Operational Experience
- Proficient in operating sit down propane forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks
- Experience unloading 20 foot and 40 foot containers and loading trailers up to 53 feet
- Knowledge of safe material handling and warehouse safety practices
Pay: $25.00 per hour
