Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, assisted living, nursing homes, and community environments. This role involves working closely with individuals who may have developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other health challenges, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
- Support patients with mobility needs using equipment like Hoyer lifts and resident transfers
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and responses to care interventions
- Implement care plans designed by healthcare professionals and update them as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Offer emotional support and companionship to residents or clients
- Assist with specialized care such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, or hospice support
- Support patients during emergencies using CPR or first aid when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of patient care activities and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in caregiving roles such as assisted living, home health, hospice care, or nursing homes. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly valued. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and emergency procedures like CPR is essential. Previous experience with long-term care settings or social work is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate patience, compassion, strong observational skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting safely. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory for all roles; training will be provided if necessary. A background in nursing or home & community care experience will enhance your ability to deliver comprehensive patient-centered support.
