The role requires a consultative techno-functional Business Analyst who can work independently in client-facing engagements, connect business objectives with platform capabilities, and enable delivery teams through clear requirements, backlog readiness and stakeholder alignment. Roles and Responsibilities Lead the Business Analysis workstream for eCommerce delivery, owning BA approach, requirement governance, quality standards and stakeholder alignment. Partner with client Product Owners, business sponsors, solution architects and delivery leads to shape scope, roadmap and prioritization decisions. Run senior stakeholder workshops to frame business problems, define outcomes, identify value levers and align on implementation approach. Guide as-is/to-be process design, capability mapping, gap analysis, backlog strategy and release scoping across multiple functional areas. Build/review epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and functional specifications Identify solution options and make recommendations that balance business value, user experience, platform constraints, delivery risk and technical complexity. Own requirements traceability, change impact analysis and decision management across discovery, inception, construction, UAT and release. Lead cross-functional ceremonies involving client business users, product owners, UX, architecture, engineering, QA, data/integration and program management. Drive issue resolution and decision closure for complex or escalated functional questions. Support estimation, staffing, transition planning, pre-sales/RFP inputs, reusable assets and practice/capability development as needed. Expected to operate as a BA lead/associate manager who can independently represent the BA function to clients and delivery leadership. Own complex and ambiguous eCommerce problems, mobilize the right stakeholders and drive structured recommendations. Coach and review the work of junior BAs, ensuring consistency, quality and delivery readiness. Influence senior stakeholders through consultative communication, business value framing and clear decision options. Contribute to account delivery health by identifying risks, gaps, dependencies and continuous improvement opportunities. Strong understanding of digital commerce capabilities including product discovery, product detail pages, cart, checkout, order capture, promotions, payment, inventory visibility and order status. Ability to map business journeys and identify functional gaps across B2B/B2C commerce, marketplace, omnichannel and customer-service-enabled commerce experiences. Working knowledge of commerce platform concepts such as catalog, product information, pricing display, promotions, campaigns, search, merchandising, content, customer accounts and integrations. Ability to collaborate with product owners, experience designers, architects and engineering teams to convert experience and business objectives into implementation-ready backlog items. Understanding of APIs, webhooks, events, integrations, data flows and non-functional requirements relevant to commerce platforms. Ability to lead multiple commerce capability areas across discovery, cart/checkout, order management, customer account, promotions, content, search, merchandising and customer service touchpoints. Ability to assess commerce platform capability fit, define functional architecture inputs and guide business trade-off decisions with architects and delivery leads.
