Job Description:
Accenture Federal Services is seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Cloud Engineer to drive large-scale workload migrations to Google Cloud Platform for our federal clients. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be instrumental in architecting, building, and deploying secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure to support mission-critical workloads.
The work you'll do:
- Design, deploy, and manage Google Cloud Platform foundational components, including BigQuery, Secret Manager, Vertex AI, VPCs, Cloud Storage, and/or Cloud IAM.
- Execute large scale data migrations to Google Cloud Platform using industry best practices and migration tools (e.g., Migrate for Compute Engine).
- Implement secure cloud architectures that comply with federal cloud computing security requirements and Zero Trust principles.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot migration issues, and optimize costs.
Here's what you'll need:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years focused hands-on with Google Cloud Platform.
- Proven experience executing cloud migrations (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or refactoring).
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
Bonus points if you have:
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Security Engineer Certification.
- Prior experience working on federal or DoD cloud migration projects.
Security clearance:
- Active Top Secret (TS) or Interim TS security clearance is required.
