What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Accentuate Staffing?
Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Staff Accountant to join a growing commercial property management/real estate firm based in Raleigh. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to play a key part in maintaining accurate financial operations across a diverse property portfolio. Reporting directly to the Controller, this full-time, salaried position supports day-to-day accounting functions and partners closely with Asset Managers and Property Managers.
What You’ll Do
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for multiple properties
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform reconciliations, including credit card and other balance sheet accounts
- Maintain organized and accurate supporting documentation
- Prepare financial schedules and reports for external CPAs, investors, and internal stakeholders
- Assist with budget vs. actual analysis and year-end reconciliations (TI/CAM)
- Contribute to special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience with QuickBooks required
- Experience with AppFolio or similar property management/accounting software preferred
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
