This role plays a key part in overseeing technically complex projects that support essential operations, with exposure to diverse sites, stakeholders, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven project management professional with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing construction-focused engineering projects. This individual will balance technical oversight, client communication, financial accountability, and schedule performance while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and oversee multiple concurrent engineering and construction projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to drive coordinated project execution.
- Serve as the primary client interface, providing status updates, addressing concerns, and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Manage project financials, including cost estimates, budgets, invoicing review, expense tracking, and reporting to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, permitting requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations through inspections and audits.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, mitigate risks proactively, and implement continuous improvement practices based on lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and project management experience.
- 3–5 years of experience managing construction or infrastructure-related projects, preferably involving electrical or power systems.
- Working knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project sites, including during critical construction phases.
- Ability to meet background screening requirements associated with regulated or government-supported projects.
