Mechanical Designer

Accentuate Staffing is partnering with an established manufacturer of mechanical systems that is expanding its design and engineering team. We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to create and maintain Revit models for complex mechanical products and facility systems.

This position will work closely with mechanical engineers, customers, project leaders, manufacturing teams and other technical disciplines. The company can consider candidates ranging from recent graduates to experienced designers and is willing to provide training based on the individual’s background.

Responsibilitie

• sDevelop and update 3D models and technical drawings using Revit
• .Model mechanical products and systems involving HVAC equipment, piping, plumbing, controls and related components
• .Work with mechanical, electrical, controls, architectural and structural teams to ensure designs are properly coordinated
• .Translate engineering direction, customer requirements and project specifications into accurate, buildable models
• .Prepare drawings and documentation used for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and installation
• .Review models and drawings for accuracy, completeness and potential coordination issues
• .Incorporate design changes while keeping assigned work aligned with project schedules
• .Communicate with engineers, customers, project managers and manufacturing personnel regarding project requirements and design questions
• .Support multiple projects in a dynamic environment where requirements and priorities may change

Qualification

• sAssociate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design/Drafting or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience will also be considered
• .Revit knowledge gained through professional experience, internships or academic coursework is preferred
• .Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCAD or other 3D design software is helpful
• .Exposure to mechanical systems, HVAC, piping, plumbing, industrial equipment or multidisciplinary facility design is a plus
• .Ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering documentation
• .Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• .Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and customers
• .Willingness to learn unfamiliar systems and work across multiple engineering disciplines
• .Ability to adapt as designs and project requirements evolve
• .Must be able to work onsite in High Point, NC
