Accentuate Staffing is assisting a leading manufacturer of automated equipment who is hiring a Manual Machinist to join their team. This is a direct hire position, offering excellent benefits, working 1st shift, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual and CNC mills and lathes
- Perform hands-on machining, fabrication, modification, and repair of equipment parts
- Operate CNC machines using conversational programming
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances
- Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges
- Assist with maintaining and repairing equipment
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements
- Work collaboratively with the team to complete machining projects and continue developing technical skills
Requirements:
- Recent trade school graduate or 2-3 years of experience in a machine shop environment
- Hands-on experience with manual machining
- Familiarity with CNC mills and/or lathes and conversational programming
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Basic knowledge of machining procedures, mechanics, and mathematics
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality parts
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and develop machining skills in a team environment
