Accentuate Staffing is seeking an Accounting Manager for our client in Clayton, NC 27520. The Accounting Manager will assist the CFO with maintaining day-to-day management of the accounting department. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the accounting department in a multi-company environment that operates 2 sites in North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accurate and timely processing of A/P and A/R.
- Prepare GL reconciliations and journal entries, including management of the month-end closing cycle.
- Manage Fixed Assets and depreciation in conjunction with annual property tax reporting
- Support operations with analysis to help them evaluate spending trends and production results
- Bank reconciliations
- Manage intercompany transactions.
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Assist with preparation of timely and complete financial statements including leadership role in managing external audits.
- Financial reporting to support month-end internal and external customers
- Work with CFO to complete special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting required, advanced degree a plus.
- Active knowledge of manufacturing accounting processes
- Knowledge of job costing a plus
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including Excel comprehension.
- Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and US GAAP Guidelines.
- Data analytics skills. Ability to interpret and handle large amounts of data.
- More than 5 years of progressively responsible experience including supervision in an operating company.
- Knowledge of Sage and Paychex a plus.
- Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
