Accentuate Staffing is assisting a leading healthcare organization in the Raleigh area who is seeking an experienced Medical Scheduling Supervisor to oversee a high-volume centralized scheduling team. The Medical Scheduling Supervisor will lead a team of approximately 30 team members, including MRI schedulers and customer service representatives. This role is responsible for managing daily call center operations, driving performance through data, and ensuring a high standard of patient service across all scheduling functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of 30 scheduling and customer service staff
- Oversee centralized scheduling for imaging services including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, X-Ray, Bone Density, Nuclear Medicine, and PET
- Monitor call center metrics such as volume, response times, and abandonment rates; implement improvements based on data insights
- Coach and develop team leads and staff to build a high-performing, patient-focused culture
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and insurance requirements
- Partner with leadership on cross-functional initiatives, including medical records and imaging coordination
- Maintain operational efficiency while balancing patient care priorities
Qualifications
- 5 years of healthcare experience
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience
- Prior experience in radiology scheduling, centralized scheduling, or a high-volume call center environment required
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Experience working with performance metrics and operational reporting
- Knowledge of imaging terminology (MRI, CT, Mammography, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with EPIC or similar healthcare systems
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
- Proven ability to identify talent and build strong teams
