Diesel Mechanic
Accent Stripe Inc. is a construction business located in Orchard Park, NY and has been in business for over 45 years. We work primarily throughout New York State. We are looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to work Monday through Friday, 7:30am- 4pm. This is an overtime eligible position, with longer hours in the summer months.
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and servicing trucks, trailers, and striping equipment. All repairs much comply with DOT requirements.
The right person has knowledge of:
-Air Systems
-Brakes
-Wiring
-Tires
-Hydraulics a plus
Responsibilities:
-Service equipment as per company guidelines
-Repair equipment and return it to service safely and on time
-Troubleshoot as needed
-Vehicle Inspection
-Lift and install heavy parts such as clutches starters and brake drums
-Maintain a clean and safe work area
Requirements:
-Must be able to follow instructions, complete required paperwork, and interpret relevant manuals
-Must be able to complete a pre-employment physical and Drug Test
-CDL a plus, not required
-Welding experience a plus
