Your Impact
The CNC Sheet Metal Programmer (Salvagnini Systems) is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous optimization of CNC programs supporting automated sheet metal fabrication processes, including punch/laser operations and panel bending systems. This role plays a critical part in maximizing material utilization, improving production efficiency, and ensuring high-quality output through effective programming and process control.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Employees must be able to talk, hear, and frequently sit, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs is required. Vision requirements include close and color vision and focus adjustment. Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical hazards, and explosives. Noise levels can be very loud, requiring ear protection.

Your Impact
The CNC Sheet Metal Programmer (Salvagnini Systems) is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous optimization of CNC programs supporting automated sheet metal fabrication processes, including punch/laser operations and panel bending systems. This role plays a critical part in maximizing material utilization, improving production efficiency, and ensuring high-quality output through effective programming and process control.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and refine complex CNC programs for punching and bending operations, ensuring optimal nesting strategies to maximize material yield and minimize waste using Salvagnini STREAM technologies.
- Configure and support Salvagnini systems for efficient production runs, including the preparation of press brake setup
- instructions where applicable.
- Analyze production performance, monitor scrap rates, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Diagnose and resolve programming
- or equipment-related issues to maintain operational efficiency.
- Partner closely with engineering teams to support design-for-manufacturability (DFM) efforts and contribute to the training and development of programming personnel.
- Demonstrated experience in CNC programming within a sheet metal fabrication environment, preferably involving Salvagnini systems.
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM platforms such as RADAN and Salvagnini STREAM modules, including Stream Bend, Stream Punch, Stream Laser, and Stream Former.
- Minimum 1yr experience in CNC programming or machine operation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, tape measures), and apply a solid understanding of sheet metal properties and fabrication processes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
