Supply Chain & Planning Manager

About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Planning Manager to lead purchasing, planning, and end‑to‑end supply chain operations. This role is a blend of strategic leadership and hands‑on execution, responsible for ensuring efficient procurement, accurate planning, and on‑time delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall strategy and execution of the organization’s supply chain management function
- Manage and develop a team of planners and buyers, overseeing all purchasing activities
- Own procurement, vendor relations, production planning, logistics, and distribution operations
- Develop, implement, and sustain a production planning system to ensure on‑time, in‑full delivery
- Oversee demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory optimization
- Manage short‑ and long‑term forecast projections to support production and inventory goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings
- Develop strong relationships with transportation and logistics partners
- Conduct regular vendor evaluations to ensure compliance with pricing contracts and agreements
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate supply chain insights to executive leadership
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to identify issues and implement effective solutions
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, ideally within operations, manufacturing, warehouse, or purchasing environments
- Prior experience leading or managing supply chain or purchasing teams
- ERP system experience strongly preferred
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills
- Proven ability to drive cost savings, process improvements, and operational excellence
