Summary:
This Inside Sales and Account Management role supports a growing manufacturing organization specializing in job shop and fabrication work. The position serves as the
primary point of contact
for customers — managing orders, resolving issues, and collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, scheduling, and shipping to ensure accurate quoting, scheduling, and delivery. The role blends
customer relationship management, technical communication, and sales support
in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main customer contact for order status, delivery updates, and technical inquiries.
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotes, pricing, and order documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, scheduling, and production to align customer needs with internal capabilities.
- Manage customer issues such as delivery, returns, or credits with professionalism and urgency.
- Maintain accurate ERP records (Global Shop preferred) and monitor quoting activity.
- Support new business and account expansion opportunities while strengthening existing relationships.
- Mentor and train junior inside sales and customer service staff (Level I and II).
Ideal Background:
- 5 years
of inside sales, customer service, or account management within a
manufacturing or job shop environment
(fabrication or plastics preferred). - Proficiency with
ERP systems
(Global Shop a strong plus) and
Microsoft Office
. - Ability to
read blueprints
and communicate technical information effectively. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proactive, relationship-driven approach.
- Comfortable multitasking in a
high-mix, low-volume
manufacturing setting.
