About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Heavy Equipment Technician to oversee the maintenance and repair of our diverse fleet. You will play a pivotal role in maximizing equipment uptime and operational efficiency by leading complex mechanical projects and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, and electronic control modules.
- Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity and reliability of loaders, forklifts, and heavy-duty trucks.
- Perform precision fabrication and metalwork using welding equipment, plasma cutters, and torches to modify or restore machinery components.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs while maintaining an organized inventory of essential shop supplies.
- Drive a culture of safety by facilitating training sessions and ensuring strict adherence to lockout/tagout protocols.
- Mentor team members on advanced repair techniques to elevate the overall technical proficiency of the maintenance department.
Qualifications

- 10 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
- Advanced proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system troubleshooting.
