Senior AI Engineer - Manhattan, NYC (5 days onsite)
An early-stage AI Agent startup in Manhattan has just closed an unannounced eight-figure funding round and is doubling its engineering team.
What will I be doing?
- Build production LLM-powered agents and agentic workflows.
- Design RAG, retrieval, tool-calling and orchestration systems.
- Improve AI reliability through evals, monitoring and guardrails.
- Build document intelligence and OCR pipelines.
- Work closely with customers and domain experts to solve real-world problems at scale.
What we're looking for
- 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Production experience with LLMs, AI agents, RAG or modern AI systems.
- Strong backend or full-stack engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with AI evals, prompt engineering or production AI optimisation.
- Startup mindset with a passion for building reliable AI products.
