Recreation Aide

At Avalon Nursing & Rehab, we believe that quality care goes beyond meeting physical needs—it’s about enriching lives, creating meaningful moments, and fostering joy every day. We’re looking for a compassionate and energetic Recreation Aide to join our team and help bring that mission to life.

We are seeking a full time and a part time Recreation Aide.

Full Time Hours: 11A-7P, every other weekend required

Part Time Hours: 9A-5P, every other weekend required

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in planning and leading daily recreational activities for residents
• Encourage participation in group and one-on-one programs
• Support events such as games, arts & crafts, music, and holiday celebrations
• Help transport residents to and from activities as needed
• Build positive relationships with residents and create a welcoming, engaging environment
• Document participation and report any changes in resident engagement or mood
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• A positive, outgoing personality with a passion for working with seniors
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Creativity and enthusiasm for planning activities
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Prior experience in a healthcare or recreation setting is a plus, but not required
